Funeral services for Tillman C. Adams, 74, longtime resident of Electra, who died Thursday in the Electra Hospital following an illness of several weeks, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, from the First Baptist Church in Electra. The Rev. J.C. Priester, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Totten & son Funeral Home. Adams was born in Bosque County, Texas, December 10, 1887. He had resided in Electra for the past 39 years and was employed as a pumper for the Texas Company until he retired four years ago. survivors include his wife, Ruby; three daughters, Mrs. Melba Boulware, of Farmington, N.M; Mrs. Pauline Jordan, of Skellytown; and Mrs. Charleta Howard of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, Rex, of Electra; Jack, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Cloyd, of Burkburnett; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren._ Electra Star-News January 4, 1962
