George Ellis Ray was the son of John Almon Ray & Sarah Lavina Agnes Jane (Sallie) Huckaba. He married Melissa Martha May Gallaher (daughter of David Houston Gallaher & Martha Adaline Crews) 27 May 1900 in Wayne Co., TN. They had 4 children: Lillian, Dennis, Ethel & Clarence.
