Melissa Martha May Gallaher was the daughter of David Houston Gallaher & Martha Adaline Crews. She married George Ellis Ray (son of John Almon Ray & Sarah Lavina Agnes Jane (Sallie) Huckaba) 27 May 1900 in Wayne Co., TN. They had 4 children: Lillian, Dennis, Ethel & Clarence.
