Bio

Ted Ross, 82, died at his home in Columbia Falls today. He was born March 17, 19094, in Johnstown, Nebraska. In 1926, he moved to Billings. While in Billings, he joined the Salvation Army and attended their training school in San Francisco. After graduating he was stationed in Miles City, Great Falls, and Kalispell. While in Kalispell he met his wife, Esther Rasmussen and they were married September 26, 1931. Mr. Ross worked in local sawmills and was head custodian at Flathead High School for 11 years. In the spring of 1954, he bought the store and cabins at Polebridge, which he operated for 12 years. He then sold the operation and moved to Columbia Falls. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Columbia Falls where he served on the Board of Deacons for many years. Survivors include his wife, Esther; two sons, the Rev. Robert Ross of Kalispell and the Rev. Kenneth Ross of Havre; two daughters, Betty Nolan of Whitefish and Norma Koefelda of Kalispell; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
