Clarence Conner Services At Ord Clarence Conner died January 20, 1992 at his Parkview Village home in Ord at the age of 67. Clarence Conner was born February 10, 1924 in Garfield County, NE to Clarence and Mary Holecek Conner. He was raised in Garfield and Valley counties and attended school in both counties. Clarence later moved to Albion where he farmed before moving to Omaha where he worked construction and for the Omaha Stock Yards. He married Bernice Christy, July 3, 1954. They lived in Omaha until 1958 and then moved to Ord. At Ord, Clarence drove a truck for Ulrich Sand and Gravel Co. After the death of his wife on June 19, 1989, Clarence continued to make his home at Ord. He was a member of the Ord Elks Lodge. Survivors are three brothers, Bohumil Conner of Burwell, Edward Conner of Youngstown, AZ and Elwin Conner of Ord; five sisters, Mary Pesek of Ord, Freda Augustyn of Ord, Patricia Watson of Ericson, Linda Anderson of Phoenix, AZ and Juanita Allen of Burwell. He was preceded in death by is parents and an infant brother. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 22, at 3:00 pm at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery.
