Edward was the son of Clarence Clay Conner and Mary Holecek Conner Edward married Lois Schultz and had the following children: Steven Edward, Daniel Dean, Judy Kay, and Brenda Lee Obituary: Edward "Ed" Joseph Conner, 69, of Randolph, Nebraska died July 8, 2002 at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond, Nebraska. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Nebraska. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery, Burwell, Nebraska. Reverend William Smith officiated. Memorials are suggested to the family. Ed was born August 28, 1932 in Ord, Nebraska to Clarence and Mary (Holecek) Conner. Ed entered the United State(s) Army on February 11, 1953. On July 4, 1953 Ed married Lois Schultz in Ord, Nebraska. They lived in Alaska until Ed was honorably discharged from the Army on January 21, 1955. Ed and Lois moved to Atkinson, Nebraska to ranch. Ed then went to Milford, Nebraska for two years to go to mechanic school. From 1959 until 1965 they lived in Burwell, Nebraska where he was a mechanic. Ed was also a mechanic in Ord, Nebraska until 1966 when they moved to Ericson, Nebraska where Ed had his own business. Then in 1976 they moved to Bartlett, Nebraska where they owned the bar until 1980. Ed and Lois moved back to Ord, Nebraska where Ed worked again as a mechanic. They then moved to Arizona in 1985 for twelve and one half years while Ed worked in a mechanic and tire shop. Ed retired in 1997 and moved to Randolph, Nebraska.Ed enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He taught Boy Scouts and was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Ed is survived by his wife Lois Conner of Randolph, Nebraska; four children: Steve and his wife Cheryl Conner of Sargent, Nebraska; Daniel Conner of Randolph, Nebraska; Judy and her husband Darrell Harding of Randolph, Nebraska; and Brenda Johnson of Randolph, Nebraska; seventeen grandchildren; two brothers, Bo and his wife Bonnie Conner of Burwell, Nebraska and Elwin and his wife Lucille Conner of Burwell, Nebraska; five sisters, Mary Pesek of Ord, Nebraska, Freda and her husband Gene Augustyn of Ord, Nebraska, Pat and her husband Ron Watson of Ericson, Nebraska, Linda and Jack Anderson of Glendale, Arizona and Juanita Allen of Burwell, Nebraska. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother LaVerne and one brother Clarence.
