Anna Idell Gardner, 75, of Batesville died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Batesville. Born Dec. 16, 1927, in Stone County, she was the daughter of John and Minnie Carter York. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Billie Joe Gardner; two brothers, John York of St. Louis and Aaron York of Stone County; a sister, Suzie Mendenz of California; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Willie York, Pete York, Asbury York and Adler York; two sisters, May Gray and Artie Peel; and a son, Johnny Asbury Reeves. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at York Cemetery in Stone County with Kenneth Altom officiating. Arrangements are by Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight.
