Bio
John was the son of John Osland Rex and Crystal Rasmussen. He was legally adopted by Angus Marion Maughan. Obituary: John Warren Maughan passed away on August 23, 2015 due to liver failure. John was born September 16, 1945 in Salt Lake City to Angus M and Crystal Rasmussen Maughan. John was raised in Orem, UT. After high school, John moved to Los Angeles, California . On October 15, 1965, he married his beloved wife Gladean Gillman, also from Orem. John was a hard working, smart man who successfully owned his own construction company. John enjoyed traveling, going to NASCAR races, and attending Denver Broncos Football games, but John's greatest joy was watching his two sons race motorcycles, even racing a few bikes himself. John is survived by his three children, Cindy, Corky (John Jr), and Chance, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, his sister Lucy (Robert) Fawcett and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladean. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, August 28, 2015 at Walker-Sanderson Funeral Home 646 E 800 N, Orem. Friends may call 1 hr prior at Walker-Sanderson. Interment will be held at The Orem City Cemetery following the services.
