Paul Kenneth Carrig TEXAS CITY - Paul Kenneth Carrig, age 65, of Texas City, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2001, at the VA Medical Center in Houston, after a brief but intense battle with Lung Cancer. He was born in Platte Center, Nebraska, on March 1, 1936. He served in the United States Air Force from November 1953, to November 1961. He worked as the General Manager for the Galveston, Houston, and Henderson Railroad in Galveston, Texas, for 17 years. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen of Texas City; a son Marty Carrig, wife, Holly and son, Lance of League City; daughters, Theresa Carrig of League City and Kay Callin, husband, Jeff and daughters, Alyssa and Morgan of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Ray Carrig of WoodRiver, Nebraska, Bob Carrig of Columbus, Nebraska, and Dick Carrig of Rainier, Washington and three sisters, Mario Murphy of Columbus, Nebraska, Karen Linden of Chapman, Nebraska, and Sharon Bowers ot' St. Edward, Nebraska. At Paul's request, his body was donated to the Willed Body Program at UTMB. A Memorial Mass will be held at 5:00 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Texas City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School or Hospice Home Care Team. Nov 20 2001 Galveston Daily News
