Houston Chronicle, October 30, 2009: A memorial service for Margueritte (Margie) M. Ray, 73, of Houston, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2009, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Margie was born March 5, 1936 in San Angelo to Ladis and Livie (Divis) Motl. She enjoyed oil painting and cooking. Margie took great pride in her rose garden. She retired from Panhandle Eastern Gas Transmission Company after over 30 years of employment. After her retirement, Margie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2009 at her home in Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ladis and Livie Motl; brother, Wilton Motl; sister, LaNelle Hamm; brother-in-law, Clarence "Clip" Stepan; and nephew, Robert Hamm. Margie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Enoch Ray; son, Melvin Allen Ray; daughter, Robin Ann Ray Ebeling and husband, Joseph; siblings, Virginia Jones and husband, Warren, Eugene Motl and wife, Rosalie, Ladis Motl Jr., Glendolyn Stepan, Gwendolyn Cunningham and husband, James; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Margie's name to (Hospice) The Odyssey Foundation, earmarked Odyssey Healthcare of Houston, 717 N.
