Daughter of William Franklin Amsberry and Harriet Ann Brown of Mason County, West Virginia. Wife of Martin Luther Whitaker of Holton, Ripley County, Indiana; married on 31 October 1888 in Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska. "Kittie Lillie Whitaker, 89, of Scottsbluff, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mamie Hodgson, in Scottsbluff. She was born September 10, 1871 at Pella, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Charles Livingston officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The Read-Maser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
