Son of Albert Clark & Nellie Glee (Ahlbright) Kelso. Married to Rosa Naomi Bell on 6-3-1949 at St. Paul, NE. WW II Veteran - US Army - 2-4-1941/6-29-1945 *Middle intial is an error on the military marker Dale B. Kelso, 82, of Grand Island, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at his home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 2:30 p.m., at the Greenwood Cemetery, in Trumbull, NE. Pastor Pat Moore will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by Fort Riley Kansas Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2002, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Memorials are to St. Francis Hospice. Condolences may be given to the family at www.curranfuneralchapel.com. Dale was born April 4, 1920, at Trumbull, Nebraska, the son of Albert C. & Nellie G. (Ahlbright) Kelso. He grew up and received his education in Trumbull until moving to Aurora, NE., after the death of his father in 1936. He entered the Army on February 4, 1941 at Omaha, NE., serving until his honorable discharge on June 29, 1945. He returned to Aurora and was employed as a diesel mechanic. He married Rosa "Rose" N. Bell on June 3, 1949 at St. Paul, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Aurora until moving to Grand Island in 1951. Mr. Kelso retired in 1987 after 42 years as a mechanic.
