May 19, 1927 – Jan. 20, 2015 Margaret McDonald, 87, of Albany died Tuesday at home with her family by her side. She was born to Norton and Nina (Moriatiy) Mann in Grand Island, Nebraska. After graduating high school she enlisted in the Army. Margaret was very proud of the fact that 10 of the 13 siblings served their country in the military. She married Jack McDonald on March 2, 1956, in Massachusetts and moved to Albany in 1968. Margaret worked for Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis, and also for Golden West Homes in Albany. After retirement, Margaret enjoyed her hours as a full-time Grammy. She is survived by her son, Ron McDonald of Albany; daughters Rose Thompson, Jackie McDonald, Irma Martin, all of Albany, Mary Adamo of Springfield, and Paula Blatchley of Amity; 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
