Bio
Anthony James Macalik, 70, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Anthony was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joseph Rudolph and Christine (Salik) Macalik. He grew up in Ennis and attended school there. On May 15, 1965, he married JoAnne Zmolik and they made their home in Dallas. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for two years. He worked in construction for over twenty years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Macalik. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Macalik; son, Anthony James Macalik, Jr. and wife, Lori Ann; grandchildren: John Anthony Macalik, Lexie Rust, Johnathan Rust, and Brittany Robinson; great-grandchildren, Allen Robinson and Kaylee Robinson; brothers, Joe Ben Macalik and wife, Helen, and Gerald Macalik and wife, Sharon: sisters: Josephine Grmela and husband, George, Christine Mokry and husband, Al, and Mary Ella Gibson; sister-in-law, Margie Macalik; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
