Rosary Services for Margaret “Keta” Gaither, 90, of Rowlett formerly of Lubbock, will be 7:00 PM, Sunday May 17, 2015 in Englunds Chapel lead by Deacon Benny Phillips. Celebration of life mass will be 10:30 AM, Monday, May 18, 2015 in Christ the King Cathedral, with Father Bill Anton officiating. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Keta was born in Lindsay, Texas on September 16, 1924. She passed from this life on May 13, 2015. Known to family and friends as “Keta” she moved to Slaton with her family as a child and graduated Slaton High School in 1943. Keta went to St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Worth from 1945 to1948 graduating with her R.N. Degree. She married Don J. Gaither on May 6, 1950 in Lubbock’s a Historic St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Keta worked as an RN at St. Mary’s in Lubbock, Midland and Ft. Worth while raising five children. The family also lived in Fort Smith, AR. Oklahoma City, OK., and Edmond, OK. She was a homemaker, and member of Christ the King Cathedral. She was preceded in death by Don on January 19, 2012. Those who will cherish her memory include daughter Janice Stanley of Tulsa, OK., four sons, Philip and wife Kena of Rowlett TX., Russell , Clifton, Roger and wife Julie all of Oklahoma City, one sister Dorothy Burton, three brothers, John, Paul and Cecil Mosser, along with 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
