Mason County Democrat Friday, July 21, 1939 Lumbert Martha Elizabeth Lumbert, the daughter of James and Eliza Grammer Caughorn, was born at Bentonville, Ark, on July 26, 1876, and passed away at her home in Havana, Ill., at 609 S. Orange street on July 14, 1939, at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 18 days. She is survived by her husband, George W. Lumbert, four daughters, Mrs. Vina Cumbo, Mrs. Sallie Giddens, Mrs. Joy Hays, all of Havana, and Mrs. Geneva Hauber, of Kansas City, Kansas; also two sisters, one brother and 10 grandchildren. Last services were conducted from the Niederer Memorial Home, Havana, Ill., on Monday, July 17, 1939, at 2:30 p.m., in charge of Rev. W.S. Schuermann. Two sacred songs were rendered during the services by Mrs. Ruth Masten and Mrs. Schuermann, accompanied by Mrs. Gretchen Karl. The floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. Eva Luedtke, Mrs. Clara Bale, Mrs. Marie Kersey, Mrs. Jane Friend, Miss Vera White, Mrs. Mildred Bates. The casket bearers were, Edward Hunt, Russell Luedtke, Franklin Bale, Kenneth Ketchell, H. Thomas and Irving Stroh. Interment was made in Laurel Hill cemetery with Niederer Funeral service in charge.
