Peoria Journal Star Sunday, November 11, 1973 Sally Giddens-Services for Mrs. Oral I. (Sallys May). Giddens, 70. of 2638 W. Meidroth, Apt, 383 who died at her home at 9:05 p.m. Friday, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peoria Davison Funeral Home. Burial will be in Snicarte Cemetery near Bath. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Giddens was born at Vienna, Okla. Dec. 13, 1902, a daughter of Deloit and Martha Cohorn Edwards. She married Mr. Giddens at Kansas City, Kan. Dec. 24,1918. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Kansas City. Surviving are her husband; four sons, Lory, Al and Jerry, all of Peoria, and Richard of Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Whitaker of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mrs. Jo Ann Spencer of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Geneva Swords of Scammon, Kan.; one half-sister, Mrs. Joey Longbotham of Las Vegas, Nev.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sons, two daughters and one sister preceded her in death.
