Bio
Cynthia Catherine Powell was one of my great, great grandmothers. She was born to her parents, Reason Vermillion Powell and Delana Nance, on May 20, 1837, in Arabia, Lawrence County, Ohio. She was the 2nd of 8 known children of her parents. She was married to my great, great, grandfather, Beuford Francis McDaniel, son of Ephraim McDaniel and Elizabeth Betsey Shumate, on February 12, 1860, in Gallia County, Ohio. They had five known children. That being Charles William McDaniel, born Oct. 24, 1860, Rezin Ephraim McDaniel (my great grandfather) b. April 2, 1863, John H. McDaniel b. Nov. 4, 1865, Simeon Perry McDaniel b. Aug. 10, 1869 and Ida May McDaniel b. June 10, 1873. All five of these children were born in Walnut Township, Gallia County, Ohio.
