Beuford Francis McDANIEL was a son of Ephraim McDANIEL and Elizabeth SHUMATE. He married Cynthia Catherine POWELL on February 12, 1860, in Walnut Township, Gallia County, OH. He was also a 2nd cousin, once removed, to President Abraham Lincoln.
