Married to Aloyzy Osentowski on 21 Sep 1938 at Atkinson, Holt, NE. Libby Osentowski Libby Osentowski, 84, of Grand Island died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at the Good Samaritan Center in Wood River. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ord Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Michael Chase will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Hospice. Mrs. Osentowski was born April 24, 1917, at Comstock to Frank and Barbara (Paider) Pesek. She grew up around the Comstock area and attended grade school at Round Park District 63. She married Aloyzy Osentowski on Sept. 21, 1938, in Bassett. The couple farmed in the Custer and Valley County area. Her husband died Dec. 12, 1968. She moved to Grand Island where she worked at a daycare until working at Stolle's Bakery in 1971. She retired in 1982. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard especially with flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bobby Studdard of Cedar Bluffs, Ala., and Barbara and Rod Hammond of Grand Island; a son and daughter-in-law, Darwin and Theresa Osentowski of Elkhorn; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Bonnie Pesek of Grand Island; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband.
