Herald Coaster, April 15, 1998: Funeral services for Magdalene J. Kucherka, 65, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 15, at 5 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A rosary service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and Hwy. 59) in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden and Father Dan Scheel will officiate the services. Mrs. Kucherka was born on Feb. 20, 1933 in Richmond to Laddy Dobrava and Hilda Satsky Dobrava. She passed away on April 14, 1998 in Houston. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Catholic Daughters, and was a past member of Holy Rosary School Board. She was preceded in death by her father, Laddy Dobrava. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stanley Kucherka of Rosenberg; her daughters, Kathy and Glen Rod of Pierce, and Cheryl and Phil Suter of Sugar Land; sons, Chris Kucherka of Eagle Lake, Kenny Kucherka of Richmond, and James and Emily Kucherka of Rosenberg; her mother, Hilda Dobrava of Richmond; a sister, Dorothy and Clarence Christ of Texas City; a brother, Larry and Karen Dobrava of Rosenberg; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Kucherka, Kenny Kucherka, James Kuckerka, Glen Rod, Phil Suter, and Mark Christ.
