Husband of Florence Mary Capellen
Oscar Henry Capellen, 94, a 38-year resident of Klamath County, died Thursday in Klamath Falls. Mr. Capellen was born in Hazard, Nebraksa to Henry and Christena Krouse Capellen and was the last living member of his family. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. On July 2, 1949, in Buffalo, Wyo., he married the former Florence Peterson Sutherland. They moved to Klamath County where he farmed for 10 years in the Sprague River area, then moved to Dairy. He was a member of senior citizens organizations and a 38-year resident of Klamath County. Survivors include his wife, Florence, of Dairy; three sons, Harold of Lander, Wy., Stanton of Hazard and Leonard of Litchfield, Neb.; one daughter, Bernice Pelley of Portland; two step-sons, Myron Sutherland of Sprague River and Dallas Sutherland of Central Point; a step-daughter, Judy Probst of Stockton, Calif; also eight grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
