Bio

Leonard Capellen, 80, of Pleasanton, died Friday, Dec. 23, 1994, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna with the Rev. Doug DeNeui officiating. Burial was at Highland Park Cemetery at Ravenna. He was born Oct. 4, 1914, at Hazard to Oscar and Ruth (Criffield) Capellen. He was educated in Sherman County. On May 27, 1936, he married Virginia Smith in Kearney. They lived on a farm in Sherman County and moved to Pleasanton in 1990. Survivors include his wife, Pleasanton; daughter Ila Gibbons, Riverdale; brothers, Harold, Riverton, Wyo., and Stanton, Sweetwater; sister Bernice Pelley, Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
