Funeral services for Willie M. Montgomery, 69, of Slaton will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2006 in Englunds Chapel with Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. He died Sunday, March 5, 2006. Willie was born Aug. 6, 1936 in Vealmoor and moved to the Slaton area in 1951 with his family. Willie attended Fluvanna and Seymour Schools. He worked for Montgomery Irrigation for 48 years. He retired in 1999 for health concerns. Willie was liked by all that knew him. He was a Baptist. His survivors include his daughters, Tammy Hitchcock of Denton, Willie Jo Treadwell of Alvarado, Myrna McCausland and Dana Richardson of Lubbock, a son, Cliff Montgomery of Lubbock; 3 Brothers, Roy Lee and Grady Jr. both of Slaton, Raymond of Mansfield, Ohio; 2 sisters, Pat Montgomery of Ft. Worth, and Mildred Wilson of Irving; and 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
