********************************** Married October 30, 1948 ********************************** Agnes Joan Meininger, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away July 25, 2012. Agnes was born in Deweese, NE on October 13, 1926. She was the youngest of three children and the last survivor. Born and raised in Deweese, Agnes enjoyed a happy childhood on her family's farm. After high school graduation, she became a teacher at the local country school. Having an independent spirit, she later found a job with General Electric in Lincoln, NE. In 1948, Agnes married Dwayne "Bud" Meininger, sharing 64 years of marriage. They were residents of Hastings, NE for 30 years where they raised two daughters. She owned her own hair salon, was an active member of the Catholic Daughters and was an avid golfer. In 1977, Agnes and Bud moved to Scottsdale where she opened another salon. She is survived by her husband Dwayne, her two daughters Janet Kealy and Marie Meininger and her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Agnes was known for her positive disposition and kind-hearted nature. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th St. Tempe, AZ 85282. A visitation will be held Monday, July 30th from 6-8 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale. A memorial mass will be held on July 31st at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti, 6261 N. Granite Reef Rd. in Scottsdale.
