Bio

Joas is the son of John J. and Caroline Harris. Joas married at Emmet, Nebraska on November 10, 1885 to Catherine Schweitzer. To this union was eight sons and one daughter. The daughter and one son died at infancy. His wife, Catherine, preceeded him in death on October 15, 1926. One son, Clarence, also preceeded him in death in 1946. He married Pearl Curtis on August 7, 1929. Joas lived a majority of his life in Nebraska working as a carpenter. He experienced the blizzard of 1888.
