Benjamin Franklin 'Ben' Watson Jr. (May 1895 ~ July 07, 1929) May 1895 - 7 July 1929 *** Watson Funeral Today. Picher, Okla., July 8. — The funeral of Ben Watson , 34 years old, who died yesterday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Watson, residing in the northwest part of Picher, will be conducted at the Blue Front church in Treece at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. James Posey of Treece will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steve Johnson, Frank Duncan, Arthur Walker, Floyd Garrout, Fred Davis and Esper Beaury. Burial will be in G. A. R. cemetery at Miami. Mr. Watson's death was due to a complication of ailments and resulted after an illness of three months. He was last employed at the LaSalle mine. Besides his parents, surviving are two children, Spencer and Margaret, at home; five brothers, Joe, Charles, Erman, Vester and Wilbur Watson, and one sister, Mrs. Lela Woodin, all of Picher.
