PARENTS: Henry and Ella Willis Cannon ∼ Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Dora Cathey were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Valhalla Chapel. Burial was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, The services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. J.T. Spurlin. Mrs. Cathey succumbed at 10:30 p.m. last Friday after an illness of about two years. She was preceded in death about two years ago by her husband, D.O. Cathey. She was a member of the Baptist Church. The deceased was born June 10, 1877, in Milan, Tenn. She was the mother of five children; two sons and three daughters. The sons preceded her in death. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Grace Melson of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Lannie Askey, of Kennett, and Mrs. Marvin Miller of Hayti; two grandchildren and a host of friends who mourn her passing.
