Bio

RICHARD "DICK" KOKES Age 93, of Hemet passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 at his residence. Dick was born near Ord, Nebraska and lived in Hemet for over 52 years. He served in the Signal Corps during WWII, and worked on the Alaskan Highway. He owned Dick's T.V. Center in Hemet for over 52 years, and he belonged to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church and was very active in their church activities, and he was on the Board of Directors of Mt. San Jacinto College. He also enjoyed fishing and shooting traps. Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris, and is survived by his Sister Betty Wornell of Washington, and several nephews and nieces, along with his best friend Everett Cain of Hemet. A Memorial Service is pending at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church 780 South State Street in Hemet. Inurnment will be Private at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Press-Enterprise - June 21, 2009
