Elmer W Penas (68103632) --------------------------------- Ord Chapel rites For Tracy Skala Tracy Skala, 89, died April 16, 1978 at the Rose Lane Care Home in Loup City. She had been a resident of the Home for the past four years. Mrs. Skala, the daughter of Wencil and Frances Kamarad Penas, was born October 15, 1888 in Valley county, NE. She was united in marriage to Fred Skala at Geranium on October 22, 1908. After marriage they made their home on farms in Valley County and for a short time lived near Comstock. In 1949 they retired from the farm and moved to Ord. Mr. Skala preceded her in death in 1957. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Will (Rose) Penas of Ord, Mrs. Ed (Lillian) Zadina of Wilber and Mrs. Elmer (Marian) Penas of Grand Island; three sons, William of St. Paul, James of Omaha and Rudolph of Cozad; 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces; one sister Mrs. Joe (Louise) Polan of Grand Island. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, five sons, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 18 at 2 pm at the Ord Memorial Chapel.
