Minnie was born in Il. Daughter of Daniel and Hannah Eubank Walton. MRS. MINNIE HOUGH DIES; FUNERAL WAS TUESDAY. (1941) Mrs. Minnie Hough, 83, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Southard, near Russ. Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at New Hope church conducted by the Rev. W. M. Kerr, and the funeral music was given by a male quartet and Mrs. Cole Beard was soloist. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery under direction of Palmers funeral home. Minnie Walton was born April 18, 1858. She was married to J. D. Brownlee March 28, 1876. Four children were born to them: B. M. Brownlee, Wray, Colo.; J. R. Brownlee of Gilford, Mon.; Mrs. J. R. Southard of Russ, and Mrs. Beatrice Edwards, whose death occurred several years ago. There are 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mr. Brownlee died April 16, 1893. She was married to Henry Hough February 18, 1896 and he preceded her in death by nearly 20 years. She leaves three step children, Enoch Hough, Ault, Colo.; H. H. Hough of Lebanon and Mrs. Homer Scott of Newburg. Mrs. Hough united with a Methodist church many years ago and lived a life consistent with its teachings.
