Sharlottie was the daughter of William Longcor Sr. and Margaret Harris. She was a pioneer wife and mother who raised a family before the industrial revolution, through the Depression, and during the "Dustbowl". She was a pioneer in many ways having traveled across the country in a covered wagon and homesteading in a dugout in indian territory. Sharlottie during her life was known as "Lottie Lonecar". Sharlottie was a rugged woman, but had a tender heart. My mother can recall her sitting in a wooden chair in the middle of the floor, letting her hair down, and then allowing her grandchildren to brush it.
