OBITUARY December 1951 Greeley Henry Nekoliczak, well known farmer, died at his home eight miles northwest of Greeley last Thursday afternoon. He had been in failing health for several years. He was 68 years old. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Monday morning. A solemn requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Andrew Augustyn of Grand Island, cousin of the deceased. He was assisted by Father O'Neill of O'Connor and Father Warner of St. Paul. The pall bearers were Ed Jurzenski, Joe Warner, John Kelly, Sr., Frank Zuroske, T. C. McFadden and Frank Foltz. Burial was in the family plot in Sacred Heart cemetery. Mr. Nekoliczak was a native of Holt county, this state. He was born August 27, 1883. He attended school and took a course in a business college at Columbus. After traveling extensively in the United States and Alaska, he returned to Columbus. At Columbus he was married to Miss Kathryn Wilcynski on February 29, 1916. Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Nekoliczak moved to a farm near Spalding. In the spring of 1917 the family moved to a farm east of Spalding and later to the present home. His wife, six daughters and five sons survive. The daughters are Mrs. Tom Wielgus, Mrs. John [Henrietta] Jurczyk and Alvina, all of Chicago; Mrs. Ed McFadden, Homer, N. Y.; Mrs. Lyle [Lorraine] Kelly, Lincoln; Margaret at home. The sons are Ed and Elmer, Chicago; Ted, St. John's seminary, Little Rock, Ark.; Louis and Joe at home. Mrs. Sophia Haun, mother of the deceased, also survives. She lives in Columbus. A sister, Mrs. Louis Tryba, lives at Duncan and a half-brother, Michael Haun, resides at San Francisco. Mr. Nekoliczak was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. All the children of the deceased were here for the funeral. Others from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tryba, Duncan; Mike Wilks, Columbus; Mike Kusek, Alliance; Mrs. Ed Oseka, Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmeits and John Kusek, Spalding.
