Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Thursday December 26, 1957 Mrs. Lizzie Michalski, wife of Walter E. Michalski, died unexpectedly early Christmas morning in the family home at 411 East 15th street. She and her family had returned home from attending midnight services in their church, when Mrs. Michalski was stricken with a heart attack. Death came an hour later. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, when a requiem high mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Westlawn Memorial Park. (Further funeral arrangements omitted here) Mrs. Michalski had lived all her life in Nebraska. She was born Feb. 2, 1895, at Lindsey, to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McCarville. During her childhood, the family moved to Platte County. Later they moved to a farm near Loup City. She and Mr. Michalski were married Feb. 11, 1914, at Loup City. They began their home on a farm west of Loup City. In 1929, they moved to a farm near Central City. In 1939, they settled on a farm north of Grand Island. Four years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Michalski left the farm and came to Grand Island to make their home. Mrs. Michalski was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her only affiliation was with the Altar Society of the church. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Loretta Findley, Grand Island; Mrs. Lillian Sullivan and Mrs. Claire Stierwalt, both of Davenport, Ia., and Mrs. Esther Comstock, Salem, Ore.; two sons, Dan Michalski, Chapman, and Edward Michalski, Davenport, Ia.; three brothers, Tom McCarville, Grand Island, Hugh McCarville, Loup City and Jack McCarville, Ord, 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles McCarville.
