Fort Bend Herald, September 18, 2006: Funeral Mass for Louis Vince Prihoda, 88, of Damon, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Damon. Interment will follow at St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Damon. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Louis was born Sept. 27, 1917 in Ellinger, to Louis Julius and Mary Julie (Dirba) Prihoda. He was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Louis was a farmer as well as a carpenter and loved fishing, hunting, gardening and listening to polka music. He passed away Sept. 14, 2006 in Sugar Land. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Prihoda; brothers, Rudolph and Robert John Prihoda; and sisters, Lillian Zapalac and Francis Sykowski. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ursula Brau Prihoda of Damon; brother, Albert Prihoda and wife, Sue, of Damon; sisters: Mary Zapalac of Damon, Leona Zapalac of Angelton, Emma Horky of Angelton, and Helen Syzdek of Damon; brothers-in-law: Vincent Sykowski of Guy, and Albert Zapalac of Angelton; sister-in-law, Sophie Prihoda of Damon; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Louis to St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 603 Parrot Ave., Damon, Texas, 77430 or to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, 77471, 281-341-8800.
