Bio
Bio: David was born July 14, 1949, in Goodland, Kansas, to Ross Conrad and Ruth Irene (Smith) Kibel. He passed away Friday, February 21, 2003, at the Vista Mesa Retirement Center in Cortez at the age of 53. In 1967, David graduated from Dove Creek High School, he later became a uranium miner. David loved hunting, fishing and racing cars. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his children: Brian Scott Kibel of Louisville, Colorado; Eric Neil Kibel of Iowa, and Cheri Kibel of Dove Creek; his stepchildren: Clint Proffit, Phillip Kibel and Shauna Proffit, all of Dove Creek; and his four grandchildren. He leaves seven brothers: Gerald Kibel of Lakewood, Colorado; Wayne Kibel of Grand Junction, Dale and Ross Kibel of Cortez, Tony Kibel of Grand Junction, Gary and Larry Kibel of Dove Creek; and six sisters: Ruby Shore of Albuquerque; Phyllis Birch of California; Darlene Perkins of Cañon City, Colorado; Hazel Prusse Kibel of Aurora, Colorado; Verna Meyer of Kansas, and Ruth Elaine Wassemiller of Oakley, Kansas.
