Married John Grutel on November 13, 1894 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Omaha, Nebr. ````````````` Omaha World-Herald (Omaha, Nebr.), Morning, October 13, 1936, p. 20, col. 2 & 3 Mrs. Mary Grutel Mrs. Mary Grutel, 63, of 5902 R street, died Monday morning at a local hospital after a one-day illness. She was a native of Prague, Czechoslovakia, and had lived in Omaha 43 years. Surviving are her husband, Andrew; five sons, Andrew, Emil, Edward, William and Louis of Omaha; three brothers, Louis Vanis, Dwight, Neb.; Anton Vanis, Abie, Neb., and Vincent Vanis, Ulysses, neb., and one sister, Mrs. Antonia Bohuslavsky, Abie, Neb. The body is at the Brewer-Korisko mortuary. `````````````` October 14, 1936, p. 21, col. 2 Mrs. Andrew Grutel Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Grutel, wife of Andrew Grutel, 5902 R street, will be today at 8:30 a.m. at the Brewer-Korisko chapel, Twenty-fourth and K streets, and at 9 at Holy Ghost church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
