Carlos "Buddy" Merchant July 26, 1925 - May 9, 2014 Carlos E. "Buddy" Merchant, age 88, a native of Summerdale, AL and resident of Robertsdale, AL passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Mr. Merchant served in the United States Navy in World War II. Buddy sold insurance for forty years. He operated Buddy's Lounge for fourteen years and raised cattle for a number of years prior to his retirement. He is survived by four daughters, Valarie Eades, Marsha Armstrong, Kristin Schell and Kimberly Hawkins; five sons, Carlos Eugene Merchant, Frank Merchant, Donald Merchant, Kevin Merchant and Robbie L. Merchant; granddaughter, Magen Jewel Merchant and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Mack Funeral Home with burial in the Wynn Cemetery, Summerdale, AL. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
