Mrs. Mina Hymans, 85, of Hull passed away Monday, June 4, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, at 2 p.m. at the American Reformed Church of Hull. The Rev. Herman Van Galen will officiate. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Hull, under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull. Mina was born July 1, 1898, at Hull, the daughter of Oepke De Roos and Tryntje Vander Stoep De Roos. She attended Central College in Pella and taught home economics in the Primghar, Hospers and Orange City schools. On July 12, 1923, she married Henry W. Huibregtse at Hull. They made their home in Hull, where Mrs. Huibregtse periodically taught at the public school. In 1963, Mr. Huibregtse passed away. On Oct. 8, 1978, she married John Hymans at Hull. In August of 1982, they became residents of Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Mr. Hymans passed away in 1983. Mrs. Hymans was a longtime member of the American Reformed Church and a charter member of the Hull American Legion Auxiliary and the Hull Federated Women's Club. Survivors include her children, Robert and Betsy Huibregtse of Orange City; three grandchildren, Tom of Fort Collings, Colo., and Andrea and John, both of Sioux Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Dick (Harriet) Vogel of Bemidji, Minn. In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Hymans was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, John, and Frank De Roos; and five sisters, Mrs. Case (Johanna) Ver Hoef, Mrs. Peter (Agnes) Dethmers, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Vande Vegte, Mrs. Bert (Josie) Vander Schaaf, and Mrs. Isaac (Fannie) Clairbout.
