Bio

The Belleville Telescope, Jan. 4, 1962 Thomas Frank Shindler, son of Anton and Marie (Ryman) Shindler was born on a farm 5 and one-fourth miles south of Cuba, on July 17, 1882, and passed away at his home on the farm of his birth place December 17, 1961 at the age of 79 years and five months. Mr. Shindler received his education in the local Rural school, and grew to manhood in his home community. On January 4, 1911, he was united in marriage to Anna Huncovsky. This union was blest with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters. In his young manhood, Mr. Shindler took over the work and responsibilities of his father's farm, and continued in that occupation until about five years ago, when disabled by sickness and age, he reluctantly turned the tasks he so dearly loved over to other hands. During the days of his steadily declining strength, his faithful companion tenderly cared for him making his life contented, safe and happy. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and four sisters. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Anna of the home, one daughter, Mildred Trecek and her husband Louis of Agenda, his son, Edward and his wife Maxine of Hays, Kan., and ten grandchildren and many other relatives and a very great host of friends. Mr. Shindler was an early member of the Workman Lodge and a long time member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge of Cuba. His life-long interest was the well bring of his family, and he found sweet contentment in the busy tasks of his farm. He was a faithful companion, a loving father and honest ever-helping neighbor and a true friend of everyone. He shall be sadly missed by all of us who knew him.
