MOTHER ------------------------- (KS) Belleville Telescope Jan. 14, 1937 Barbara Shindler Chizek, daughter of Anton and Marie Shindler, was born in Striker, O., July 15, 1878, and died January 6, 1937 at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 22 days. She grew to womanhood near Agenda, where she moved with her parents when a child of three years. February 10, 1897 she was united in marriage to John Chizek, and moved to a farm home near Cuba where they lived at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her son, Milek, her parents and one sister. She is survived by her husband, John Chizek; six sons, Joseph and Ernest of Cuba, Edward of Ramona, Charles of Norway, John of Clyde, and Stephen of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Kopsa of Agenda; and Mrs. Tenie Kasha of Lost Springs; and one brother, Tom Shindler of Agenda; a host of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother, and was a person to carry her own burden and never complained, and had prepared herself well for the life hereafter. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday from the home to St. Isidore's Church at Cuba, in charge of the Rev. Father McKenna.
