Bio

Thanks to contributor #46770673; Mrs. Ott was born on June 8, 1917, at Aurora to William and Edith (Matthes) Ryder. She grew up and was educated in Aurora. She married Rueben E. Ott on Sept. 5, 1940. They moved to Morris, Minn., where they farmed. They lived in the Henderson area, Franklin and Aurora. She had lived in Giltner for 47 years. She worked at the Holiday Inn and Ramada Inn for several years. Mrs. Ott was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Survivors include two sons, LeRoy of York and Gary of Giltner; two daughters, Betty Schmidt of Grand Island and Billie Foulk of Giltner; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Ott of Giltner and Dorothy Ryder of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaughter; and two sisters, Lillian Pohl and Mabel Ryder. Post January 20, 2000 Grand Island Independent
