Albin Paul Heidrich Newspaper and date unknown Albin Heidrich Rites Read Wednesday P.M. Funeral services for Albin Heidrich, 86, of Rt. 3, Shiner, were held Wednesday, August 19, 5 p.m., at Buffington Chapel, Shiner, the Rev. E. J. Oehlke officiating and reading rites at Shiner City Cemetery. Mr. Heidrich died August 17, at the home of his son Adolph Heidrich of Shiner. Born April 1, 1867, at Gera, in Germany, he spent the early part of his life there and was married March 9, 1885 to the former Marie Peters at Gera. They came to America in September in, 1891, settling first in Gonzales. He had spent the last 12 years with his son Adolph at Shiner. Survivors include three sons, Adolph in Shiner, Willie of Breslau and Charles Heidrich of Shiner; five daughters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Lockstedt, Mrs. Helen Joost, and Mrs. Elo (Neddie) Voekel, all of Yoakum, Mrs. E. E. (Marie) Rhoades of El Paso and Mrs. Arthur (Martha) Wagner of Shiner; 28 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Marie Heidrich, and one son Paul Heidrich, two daughters, Mrs. Ollie (Anna) McDavid and Mrs. Eddie (Ella) Hagens; three sisters, Agnes, Martha, and Hedwig; and five brothers, Walter, Charlie, Werner, Robert, and Herman Heidrich. Albin Heidrich was Born April 1, 1867 and died August 17, 1953 Baptized and Confirmed in the Lutheren Church In Germany. Contributor: Ed Neubauer (49300885)
