WALLACE DIED LAST NIGHT 11:45 --------------------- HAD BEEN ILL SEVERAL WEEKS-- INTERNMENT THIS AFTERNOON Prof. J.J. Wallace one of Denton's pioneer school teachers and well known throughout Denton County, died at his Home south of the city, last night at 11:45 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. Prof. Wallace has not been in good health for quite awhile and it was feared that this, his last illness would be severe on one so advanced in years, but the news of his death was generally regretted. Mr. Wallace was a kind and considerate neighbor, a staunch friend and a man of sterling Christian character. He will be missed in the community. Several sons and daughters besides his wife survive the deceased. The internment will be held this afternoon at the city cemetery. **The above obituary was found in his daughter's, Mary Wallace Hill's,scrapbook, the name of the newspaper and date were not included.
