Married first Daniel B. Chambers in Charles Mix county, SD on 14 Aug 1949. They had one son and a daughter, Carol. Daniel and Lois later divorced. Lois lived in Omaha, NE. Lois married Joseph S. DeWitt "Joe" and they lived in Springfield, MO and Plattsmouth, NE. Lois' son preceded her in death.
