Maude Emma Chesnutt was born 24 July 1880 near Ooltewah, James (now Hamilton County), Tennessee, USA. She was the youngest of the four children born to Dr. James Henry Chesnutt (1843-1908) and Sarah Sopshire [Phillips] Chesnutt (1845-1918). Siblings: Mary Ella Chesnutt [Fuqua] (1866-1942), Hugh Edward Chesnutt (1868-1923) and John Stephan Chesnutt (1875-1952). She married William P. Norman (1881-1941) and they were the parents of Stoyan Francis Norman (1907-1947). Maude passed away 13 July 1947 in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas.
