Roxie Ellen Phillips was born 26 February 1890 in Apison, James [Hamilton], Tennessee, USA. She was the youngest of the ten children born to William Theador Phillips (1842-1921) and Cynthia J. [Rogers] Phillips (1848 - 1930). Siblings: Walter Haynes Phillips (1868-1946), Oscar Phillips (1871-1943), Henagar Phillips (1873-1936), James Owen Phillips (1878-1939), Robert W. Phillips (1881), William Phillips (1883-1945), Ethel E. Phillips (1885) and Julia M. Phillips (1888). She was married in 1907 in Bradley County Tennessee to John Guthrie Thatch (1874-1950). Roxie Ellen passed away 10 January 1969 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia.
