Bio
Icle L. Brisendine, 89, of 102 W. Finley, died at 3 p.m. Feb. 20, 2007, at home. She was born Jan. 8, 1918 in Davis County to Irvin and Allie Eakins Shepherd. She married Harley Brisendine Jan. 10, 1942. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had been a cashier at Hallberg Grocery and then at Jack & Jill. She was a member of Woodman of the World and was past president of South Oak Towers. Surviving is her husband, Harley; three sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law, three brothers, and a sister. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a great-grandson; two brothers, Harry Earl and Ivan Laurice Shepherd; and an infant sister, Irene Shepherd.
