Bio

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence L. Railey, age 86, of Grayson were held February 24th at Grayson Baptist Church with Revs. Dayton Doughty, Virgil Jones and Wayne Cooley officiating. Burial followed in Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Railey died February 23rd at Citizen's Medical Center after a long illness. He was a member of Grayson Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 382 F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lena Rogers Railey of Grayson; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Railey Butler of Shreveport and Mrs. Clarice Railey Hatten of Grayson; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clayton McGrew, Malcolm McGrew, Hollie McGrew, Lee Roy McGrew, Quinto May and Leo Gregory. Honorary pallbearers were Hoot Reitzell, John Holliday, Jim Smith, Robert Buckalew and Dr. Wren Causey. Published in The Caldwell Watchman-Progress (Columbia, LA), Wednesday, February 27, 1985
