A funeral mass for Margaret Mary Humpola, 100, of Rosenberg, Texas will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Rosenberg, Texas. Interment will follow at West Gethsemane Gardens in Rosenberg. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Margaret was born November 15, 1913 in Hallettsville to John Paul and Amelia Sciba Hrncir. Her final goal was to celebrate her 100th birthday which she did on November 16, 2013 at Brookshire Residence and Rehabilitation Care Center with 80 family members and friends. Her birthday wish was fulfilled with their presence. She was the oldest of 9 children. Margaret married Jerry Humpola on October 1, 1947. Jerry passed away on May 16, 1974. She is a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, one of the founding members of Catholic Daughters of America Holy Rosary Court 1476, a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society and the KJZT. She passed away November 24, 2013 in Brookshire. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Humpola; parents, John and Amelia Hrncir; brothers, Leo, Otto, and Edwin Tac Hrncir; and sisters, Anita Jakubik and Janie Jakubik. Survivors include her brothers, Guss Hrncir and wife, Vinita, of Amarillo, and Hilmer Hrncir of Rosenberg; and sister, Emilie Mickey Sebesta of Rosenberg. Margaret is best known in the area for her photography work, who along with Jerry, touched the lives of hundreds people. They documented the history of Rosenberg with pictures taken in early 1900's. They took pictures for schools, weddings, anniversaries, church activities, individual and family portraits, and pictures for local businesses. Their work has preserved the memories of many through their pictures. She was most grateful for her family, her church, her friends and clients, many of whom helped celebrate her milestone of turning 100.
